We are a local church situated to the north-west of
Barnsley town centre in South Yorkshire, England. As
Christians we meet every
Sunday to worship
God and to celebrate the amazing new life that the risen
Jesus Christ offers everyone. I have another page on

but let me just share further about Emmanuel, Barnsley… |
Emmanuel is a
lively welcoming Church, open to people like you. Together we seek
to help each other learn about the Christian faith. In a typical
week at Emmanuel we provide a varied programme for new and mature
Christians as well as people who are exploring Christianity for the
first time. Bible study, prayer, mutual support and care are
regarded as central features of our church life.
We also
seek to make a positive difference in the world with ongoing local
and overseas community projects. We challenge injustice and want
to be a loving neighbour to people in need.
We believe confidently in the power of the Good News of Jesus
Christ, which brings transformation and real hope to people’s lives.
Therefore, we have a desire and a responsibility to share the
message of the Bible and encourage others to become followers of
Jesus Christ.
