My colleagues are Associate Minister: Rev Jon Bellfield and our Youth Minister: Rachel Marsden. We are part of the Emmanuel Leadership Team made up from ordinary members of our church and, with the wider church, we all seek to serve the Lord Jesus in our generation.
As Christians we meet every Sunday (and also in the week) to worship God and to celebrate the amazing new life that the risen Jesus Christ offers everyone. I have another page on this website that provides an introduction to Christianity, but let me just share further about Emmanuel, Barnsley…

Hello,and welcome. My name is Mark Reasbeck, one of three ministers at Emmanuel. 
We are a local church situated to the north-west of Barnsley town centre in South Yorkshire, England. 
Emmanuel is a lively welcoming Church, open to people like you. Together we seek to help each other learn about the Christian faith. In a typical week at Emmanuel we provide a varied programme for new and mature Christians as well as people who are exploring Christianity for the first time. Bible study, prayer, mutual support and care are regarded as central features of our church life. 
We believe confidently in the power of the Good News of Jesus Christ, which brings transformation and real hope to people’s lives. Therefore, we have a desire and a responsibility to share the message of the Bible and encourage others to become followers of Jesus Christ. Check out our Mission and Vision statement
