Children and Young People

We believe that a key part of our mission here in Barnsley is to ensure children and young people are given opportunity to get involved, learn skills, meet new people and given time and space to meet God in different ways. That's why we offer church-led activities for 0-18's alongside ensuring those community groups that hire us offer something for the community too.

TODDLER GROUP

Meets Mondays during Term time 

9.15am to 11.15am

Suitable for babies and toddlers

up to school age

  • Activities, play areas, song-time, story-time and snacks

  • Tea/coffee and biscuits for adult carers included

  • Comfortable, spacious lower hall

  • Come along, make new friends, have fun!

MESSY MONDAYS

THIRD MONDAY of EVERY MONTH 
3.45pm to 5.15pm (approx)
£ FREE

  • Fun, faith and food for all the family

  • Crafts, activities and stories based on Christian principles

  • Refreshments provided 

  • Everyone welcome

For everyone aged 8-18

The last Sunday of each month 4-6pm

£ FREE

Meeting at different Churches across the whole of Barnsley to meet with others, get to know the communities where we live and connect.

Transport from Emmanuel provided where needed.

WORSHIP FOR YOUNGER PEOPLE

ROOTS is our young peoples group

All ages welcome

MEETING REGULARLY DURING THE SUNDAY SERVICE  - 10am

  • Explores our Christian lifestyle through a mix of games, crafts, drama and lively discussion. 

  • The children and young people also take part in our all-age worship services - in whatever way they can!
